Today i will talk to you about my favorite subjects. It is called "The long sixties. Latin America, art and revolution".
This subjects is very ilustrative because it is make possible to know about the events that take place in America and how this events influences the field of art and the social, political and cultural issues. Targets that trigger revolucionary actions into the art: changing meaning in the art objects, its tematics, the relationship between the artist and the public. There are a some kind of extension that to affect the choice of materials, procedures. The art and his procedures remits itself.
There are a esencial introspection into the art and the social fields that want to promote change of mind, conciouness as a response to faced the cold war, latinoamerican dictatiorship and decolonized process.
In this period is possible to identify a lot of artist procedures, as a: destructive art, brasilian neoconcretismo, the new figuration, arts in other medios, the experience of 68 in Argentina, and the called new experiences in latinoamerican. Its is practices that show us different ways to response to face a internal and external problems.
That was a moment too, that showed how latin América, and the artists work thinking, in this period is possible to follow concept as the latin american art, not anymore from a relationship dependent (USA and Europe).
